The University of Regina is a public research university located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Founded in 1911 as a private denominational high school of the Methodist Church of Canada, it began an association with the University of Saskatchewan as a junior college in 1925, and was disaffiliated by the Church and fully ceded to the University in 1934; in 1961 it attained degree-granting status as the Regina Campus of the University of Saskatchewan. It became an autonomous university in 1974.
With the motive of providing a world-class education for deserving and talented students in Canada, the University of Regina is implementing the International Entrance funding for the academic year 2020-21.
The award is accessible for the international candidates who are applying for the admission in a bachelors degree program at the University of Regina in Canada.
Scholarship Benefits
The University of Regina provides up to $200,000 annually. The educational award of $3,000 is automatically awarded to undergraduate students who are applying for admission at the university.
Scholarship Eligibility
- Eligible Countries: Applications are accepted from around the world.
- Eligible Course or Subjects: The sponsorship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
- Eligibility Criteria: The studentship will be awarded to undergraduate students on a Study Permit who are applying for admission directly from a secondary school (or equivalent) into a direct-entry undergraduate program.
- Students must have an early-conditional admission average of 85.00% or higher and be enrolled in nine credit hours in the semester the award is presented.
