Scottish Government – Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships UK 2021-2022 is open for Selected Countries . The scholarship allows Postgraduate, Masters level programm(s) in the field of Medical Sciences, Renewable Energy, Creative Industries, Science, Technology, Healthcare, Earth Sciences, Environment, Energy, Geology, Weather, Climate, Botany, Zoology, Software, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Information Systems, Multimedia, Computer Science, Communication, Media Studies, Cultures, Broadcasting, Film, Animation, Journalism, Publishing, Computer Games, Computer Graphics, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Designing, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Management, Physics, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Health Sciences, Biotechnology, Hydro Power, Tidal Power, Solar Power Online distance learning courses are not eligible for the scholarship. taught at University of St Andrews, Abertay University, Edinburgh Napier University, Glasgow Caledonian University, Glasgow School of Art, Heriot-Watt University, Open University UK, Queen Margaret University(QMU), Robert Gordon University, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, University of Edinburgh, University of Aberdeen, University of Dundee, University of Glasgow, University of Stirling, University of Strathclyde, University of the West of Scotland, University of the Highlands and Islands . The deadline of the scholarship is 28 May 2021.
Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships is a programme of scholarships offered by the Scottish Government in collaboration with Scottish universities in the areas of science, technology, creative industries, healthcare and medical sciences, and renewable and clean energy.

The course must be a postgraduate Masters level course in one of the following subject areas:
- ScienceTechnology
- Creative industries
- Healthcare and medical sciences
- Renewable and clean energy
Courses must be full-time and delivered in Scotland. Online, distance-learning, or courses delivered at a Scottish university campus overseas are not eligible for the scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits:
The scheme offers up to 50 awards, each worth £8000, towards tuition fees for any one year of full time study on a postgraduate Masters programme at any of Scotland’s higher education institutions.
Eligible Nationalities:
Scholarships are available to citizens of the following countries: Canada, China (including Hong Kong), India, Japan, Pakistan and USA.
Eligibility Criteria:
In order to be eligible for a Saltire Scholarship, candidates must:
- Have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course.
- Be a citizen of Canada, India, Japan, USA, Pakistan or China (Hong Kong citizens are also eligible as it is a Special Administrative Region of China).
- Be able to demonstrate that they can meet the costs of living in Scotland and the remaining tuition fees.
- Not have previously studied for a full undergraduate degree in Scotland.
- Not have previously received a Saltire Scholarship.
- Meet the language requirements of the course.
- Complete an application form and submit it by the closing date.
